This is one of the most common questions when planning an ATV tour in Brotas. The short answer: to drive, yes, you need a category B driver's license. But people without a license can also take part, as passengers. Here's how it works at TRT Brotas.
Who can drive
- Be 18 or older;
- Be Category B license or higher;
- Show your license on the day of the tour.
No ATV experience needed. Before departure, everyone attends a briefing with riding and safety instructions, and the guides stay with the group for the whole route.
What if I don't have a license?
People without a license ride as passengers, together with a licensed driver. Passengers must be 7 or older, and under-18s must be accompanied by their parents. Each ATV carries a maximum of 2 people, with a total weight of up to 250 kg.
Is the price different for passengers?
No. The price is per ATV, for up to 2 people: driver and passenger share the same vehicle. See the routes:
- ATV + Waterfall (25 km, from R$ 499)
- ATV + River Swim (18 km, from R$ 350)
- ATV Sunset Tour (same price as the chosen trail)
- ATV Moonlight Luau (R$ 750 per couple)
