At TRT Brotas, we want as many people as possible to enjoy the ATV experience. That is why we assess each case carefully: many people with disabilities or reduced mobility can take part normally, others with adapted equipment or after a more detailed assessment by our guides.
This assessment is part of our Safety Management System, implemented in accordance with ABNT NBR ISO 21101. The goal is always the same: an adventure that is possible and safe for you and for the whole group.

Step by step
How to plan your participation
Talk to us before booking. On WhatsApp, tell us who will take part and what each person needs.
Team assessment. Our coordinators and lead guides review the case and suggest the best way to take part, as rider or as passenger.
We agree on the details. Time, route, equipment and any special care for the day.
On the day of the tour. Safety briefing for everyone, with guides accompanying the group from start to finish.
Autism (ASD)
Knowing in advance what will happen
For many autistic people, knowing each step in advance makes the tour calmer. That is why we show here what the tour is like and what the person will see, hear and feel.
The tour, step by step
Arrival at our base. Welcome by the team, with time to use the restroom and settle in.
Equipment. We put on the helmet with visor. The person can touch and try on the helmet beforehand, calmly.
Safety briefing. A short explanation by the guide, showing on the ATV itself how it works.
Group departure. The ATVs ride in a line, with the guide in front.
Dirt trail. A route through nature, with stops.
Waterfall or river swim. A stop to explore the place and get in the water, if you want.
Back to base. Ride back and wrap-up.
What the person will feel
Sound: engine noise, louder at the start and on climbs.
Vibration: the ATV vibrates all the time, more on uneven stretches.
Helmet: fits snugly on the head and muffles some of the sound.
Dust or mud: depending on the weather, clothes may get dirty.
Water: the waterfall and the river have cold water and the sound of falling water.
Nature: sun, wind, insects and the smell of the woods.
Tell us what helps and what bothers the person, such as noise, touch, lines or waiting.
Together we consider options such as a quieter time slot, a private group, riding as a passenger with a companion, extra breaks, and arriving early to see the ATV while it is parked.
The person can wear plug-type earplugs under the helmet, agreed in advance with the guide.
If the person wears the sunflower lanyard, our team understands they may need more time and patience.
Other possibilities must be analyzed by the activity coordinators and lead guides.
